GDW Engineering was successful in being awarded a lump sum high and low voltage design and construct project at Moolarben Coal near Mudgee NSW.

The scope involved at a high level:

Two kilometer's of 11KV HV cable trenching, installation and backfill
Full electrical design drawings for the package
Engineering studies including arc flash, protection and earthing.
Procurement of MCC, Switch room, LCS’s, instruments and cable
High voltage terminations and QA
Low termination and QA
Installation and commissioning of schneider RM6 RMU’s and 11/415V Wilson transformers

Risk assessment facilitation
Lighting design and installation
Instrumentation calibrations

Supply and installation as the E&IC contractor for the Kurri Kurri Lateral Pipeline Project feeding the new Hunter Power Project. Snowy Hydro has constructed a gas fired power station with a capacity of 750 Mega Watts. GDW were responsible for the Electrical and Instrumentation, to AS3000, 3008 and 60079 compliance, component of the pipeline that feeds the new power station.
