The solar farm at its time was the largest project of its kind in Australia. It consisted of a capacity of 100MW AC comprising of 69 inverter stations each with 31.4MW inverters, a tracking system and 396,000 335W solar panels. Located near Townsville North Queensland the farm was perfectly situated to provide great results given the azimuth to the equator and daily sunlight hours.

Scope:

GDW Engineering was engaged by the client to originally supply quality management reviews of the executed product, this evolved into providing overarching project and engineering management services consisting of the below functions.
